Community Engagement Session (CES) 1

Thank you for making Session One a success!

On January 20th, Co-chairs Susan Stears and Bill Buchelt launched the Vision 202 Community Engagement Project sharing their commitment to facilitating a positive conversation and emphasizing the importance of the community members’ participation in this collaborative process.

Dr. Keith Filipiak, Superintendent of Lisle CUSD 202, presided as the keynote speaker for the first Vision 202 session. To set the stage for future discussions, Dr. Filipiak presented “The State of the District” that provided an engaging overview of the facts, celebrations and challenges currently facing Lisle CUSD 202.

Following Dr. Filipiak’s presentation, small groups collaborated to work on three important tasks as a way to provide input and help shape the content for future sessions.

Did you miss Session One?  No problem, links to the “State of the District” presentation as well as the verbatim responses from the small groups are located below.

We look forward to continuing the conversation with you on February 17th from 7-9 pm at Lisle Jr. High School. The topic at Session Two is “Student Achievement & Programs of Study: What do students need to be successful?”

We’re off to a great start, but there’s more to talk about!
